He was on the ramp from the northbound Bishop Ford Freeway to eastbound 159th Street when he lost control at around 12:30 p.m.
State police blame speeding for the accident.
The truck, which was carrying sheets of steel, overturned. A female passenger was not injured.
No other vehicles were involved. But the northbound lanes of the ramp were shut down for the investigation.
The lanes re-opened for traffic around 3:30 p.m. and the truck was cleared from the ramp.
