Meeks responds after black leaders endorse others

October 29, 2010 (CHICAGO)

The Chicago Coalition for Mayor picked two other candidates instead, former Senator Carol Moseley Braun and Larry Rogers, Junior, a member of the Cook County Board of Review.

"The coalition's process is irrelevant at this point. I don't know what the process was, I don't know how they reached the decision, but it's time to move forward now, it's time to unite all of Chicago," Meeks said.

Rev. Meeks shook hands Friday at the 95th Street Red Line stop. He says he has gathered 30,000 signatures to get on the ballot in February.
