The Chicago Police Department is revising its new age requirement for potential recruits.

The department announced the requirement less than one week ago.

At first, the plan was to change the minimum age to take the officer's exam to 25, with an exception for people with military experience.

Under the revised rules, applicants can take the test when they are 21 but cannot join the force until they are 25.

The application process runs through November 26th.
