A pedestrian was struck and killed around 5 p.m. near the Kenilworth station, 400 Richmond Rd., by an outbound train on the Union Pacific North Line. That train is now stopped while emergency crews work the scene.
That accident is impacting many Metra lines leaving downtown. Commuters may want to look for alternative routes.
