Chicago police say crime decreased in Oct.

Crime in the city of Chicago continues to fall, according to Chicago police Supt. Jody Weis.

October was the 22nd consecutive month of decreases, Weis said. According to police departments statistics, total crime through the month of October was down 3.7 percent, compared to last year. Through the month of October, there were 379 murders. Weis said nearly 55 percent of those were gang-related.
