A former cancer patient is donating more than $2 million to Advocate Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Hospital officials say the donor wants to remain anonymous.
Advocate Shepherd was created in part from donations from the community.
The $2.1 million gift has not yet been earmarked, but hospital officials say it will likely be used to advance clinical programs.
