Study: Breastfeeding doesn't mean less sleep for mom

It's not something all breastfeeding moms would agree with, but a new study finds those moms don't necessarily get less sleep.

In fact, the study says, breastfeeding moms appear to sleep just as long and as well as women who rely on bottles or a combination of bottle and breast.

Scientists say the results represent good information to be able to tell women that not breastfeeding is not going to help you get better sleep.

Research has shown a protective effect of breastfeeding on a number of pediatric diseases.
