Power was restored for trains in both directions on the Chicago Transit Authority's Red Line service between 69th and 95th streets.

The Chicago Fire Department cut the service for a couple hours after reports that a pedestrian was on the tracks at the 95th station. That person was struck by a southbound train; his condition is not known.
