Lance Corporal Stack was shot in the head during combat last week in Afghanistan.
Police officers, honor guards and patriotic motorcycle groups met Stack's body at Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling and rode with the hearse to a funeral home in Arlington Heights. Stack is from the suburb.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday afternoon. Stack's funeral will take place Saturday.
