Several parents who lost their children to violence joined Father Michael Pfleger at St. Sabina church Monday afternoon to remember their loved ones who won't be at Thanksgiving dinner this week.

The group called on all Chicago residents to take responsibility to stop the violence and not become immune to it, and they offered a challenge to all the candidates for mayor of Chicago.

"Tell us, what are your plans? What's your strategy? What's your platform to deal with the violence, proliferation of guns in our communities," said Fr. Pfleger.

Twelve Chicago Public School students have been shot and killed since the current school year started.
