Students attending Wheeler High School in northwest Indiana had a day off Monday because the school was vandalized.

The Union Township School Corporation superintendent said cleaning up the damage took longer than anticipated.

The adjoining Union Township Middle School was also affected. Classes at that school started 2 hours late Monday.

Officials say surveillance video shows the vandals were students. They could face disciplinary measures and criminal charges.
