According to authorities, police responded to a 911 call from a woman about her husband, whom she said was suicidal and had cut his wrist.
When officers arrived, the man reportedly confronted them at the door with two knives in his hand. One officer fired a stun gun at the man, but it had no effect.
The man reportedly threatened the other officer with a butcher knife, and that is when police say he was shot.
Authorities say the man was transported to Christ Hospital, but details of his condition have not been released.
