Chicago lakefront path closed due to water

A section of the Chicago's Lake Michigan path was off limits Monday morning because of rough surf.

The paths from Fullerton to Grand avenues have been closed because of lake water sloshing onto the paths and freezing, creating slippery conditions for cyclists and joggers.

On Monday morning, people were being urged to also avoid pedestrian underpasses where water may pool and freeze.
