Alderman Ed Burke confirms a report in Crain's Chicago Business that talks are under way on a deal for the Cubs to play ball in Cuba.

He hand-delivered a letter from Cubs owner Tom Ricketts to Havana's vice mayor.

The proposal calls for a so-called 'Caribbean Classic' baseball series.

All this came about as Burke and his wife traveled to Cuba on a trip organized by the American Bar Association.
