December 21, 2010 (CHICAGO)

They will commission a congressional study on contaminated water in Chicago and other cities across the country.

The senators made those announcements Tuesday afternoon after meeting with EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson.

They requested the meeting to discuss a new report on a cancer-causing metal called chromium-6.

Researchers found the metal is present in the drinking water of cities all over the country, including Chicago.
