Suburban bakery investigated after people sickened

December 23, 2010 (LINCOLNWOOD) Officials say about 100 people got sick after eating items made by Rolf's Patisserie.

The desserts were consumed at catered parties and a restaurant.

Initial tests show one item was contaminated with a staph bacterium that produces toxins in foods.

Rolf's is a wholesale and retail sales bakery. It has closed while the investigation is underway.

The bakery is contacting retailers and restaurants to tell them to discard all desserts made after Nov. 1.
