The CTA shut down the Blue Line subway Sunday morning after some trash caught fire on the third rail.The fire sent smoke throughout the tunnel near the Logan Square station.
Several ambulances were sent to the scene as a precaution, but no one was hurt.
Shuttle buses operated between Montrose and Damen for several hours. Service was running as normal Sunday evening.
