FDA: Sprouts may be to blame in salmonella outbreak

December 27, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Food and Drug Administration officials say alfalfa sprouts from the tiny greens organic farm in Urbana, Ill., may be to blame. Besides being sold to Jimmy John's restaurants, the sprouts were also sold to stores and consumers. People should throw them away if they have them.

More than 80 people in 15 states say they became sick after eating at Jimmy John's restaurants.
