Demonstrators upset over a column written about mayoral candidate Carol Moseley Braun staged a protest outside the Chicago Sun-Times building Tuesday.

The column was written by Neil Steinberg and appeared in the paper Monday. It criticized the candidacy of Braun and former candidate Reverend James Meeks.

The demonstrators say Steinberg ridiculed them. They want him to be fired.

Steinberg says he missed the protest and has no comment.
