Police say a driver for American Taxi was playing with fireworks when one exploded, seriously injuring her hand.
The sound of the explosion could be heard for several blocks around the airport's suburban cab lot at about 3 p.m. Thursday.
Chicago Bomb and Arson Police are investigating the incident.
