Fake coyotes scare off geese in DuPage County

The DuPage County Forest Preserve District is now using coyote decoys to ''fake out'' pesky geese.

The phony coyotes are attached to small stakes that allow their bodies to move slightly in the wind. They even have furry tails.

Forest preserve officials say about a dozen of the decoys are stationed at Danada and other preserves. They discourage geese from grazing in mowed areas where visitors walk.
