President Obama has called for a moment of silence Monday to remember the victims of the Arizona shooting spree.

The president signed a proclamation Sunday calling for flags to be flown at half-staff at a number of locations, including the White House, public buildings and military posts. He has ordered the flags to remain at half-staff until sunset January 14.

The moment of silence will take place Monday at 10 a.m. central time. Mr. Obama president will observe it with the White house staff on the south lawn.
