Mayoral candidate Carol Moseley Braun has gotten some new endorsements that were announced Sunday night.

More than 50 African-American pastors gave her their backing.

Moseley Braun said hundreds of thousands in the city would follow the pastors and give her their support.

She called Chicago, "A broken city that needs fixing."

On Sunday afternoon, Miguel del Valle talked to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He said the community has to honor veterans and not abandon them when they need support.

Gery Chico attended services at the Progressive Community Church Sunday morning.

Chico says the city's schools are not providing the quality education they should, and must be improved.

William "Dock" Walls spoke at the church of former candidate James Meeks.

He pushed for an expansion of the city's manufacturing base and said he'd increase spending on education.
