Freight train derails on Metra's Milw. West Line

A freight train derailment along the Milwaukee District West Line caused problems for Metra Sunday night into Monday morning.

The line goes from downtown Chicago out to Elgin.

Metra said eight cars of a Canadian Pacific train derailed. No one was injured.

Metra says trains were not able to go past the Bartlett station Sunday night.

Passengers experienced delays Monday morning because Metra trains will be operating on a single track, but trains were back on schedule by Monday evening.
