The Schaumburg Flyers minor league baseball team avoided a possible eviction, thanks to a pending sale.

Schaumburg officials are trying to get more than $900,000 dollars in unpaid rent from the team.

The Flyers play at Alexian Field, which is owned by the Schaumburg Park District.

The village filed a suit against the Flyers' parent company and took action to evict the team.

But, Thursday in court, eviction was postponed until February 24 because team officials say they're close to selling the team.

If that happens, the village is more likely to get paid.
