Chicago Symphony Orchestra director Riccardo Muti will undergo surgery on Monday.

Doctors will repair fractures he suffered when he fainted and fell during rehearsal Thursday.

Muti is also undergoing tests to determine what caused him to faint.

The 69-year-old maestro was hospitalized last fall for what doctors said was extreme physical exhaustion.
