Memorial held for DuSable Museum's founder

The life and legacy of Dr. Margaret Burroughs was remembered during a memorial service Saturday morning.

A crowd of family, friends and admirers filled the University of Chicago's Rockefeller Memorial Chapel.

The service featured dance and music in honor of Burroughs who was a co-founder of the DuSable Museum of African-American History.

She also co-founded the South Side Community Art Center in 1940.

Burroughs died at the age of 95 last November.
