A group of young dancers entertained visitors at the Umoja Black History Celebration.

It took place Saturday afternoon at Homan Square Park on the West Side.

Organizers named the celebration for the African word "umoja," which means unity.

In addition to dancers, there were poetry readings and a marketplace selling food, jewelry and clothing.
