Police won't kick protesters out of Wis. captiol

In Madison, Wis., capitol police backed down and said demonstrators would not be removed from the capitol building.

Earlier, the police had asked the protesters to leave by late Sunday afternoon so the building could be cleaned.

Some did leave but many others refused.

They've been camped out there for nearly two weeks.

They're fighting proposed legislation that would strip public employees of many of their collective bargaining rights.
