Woman seriously hurt in Garfield Park hit-and-run

Chicago police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck and seriously injured a woman on the city's West Side early Sunday.

The woman was hit around 2:15 a.m. in the 3400-block of West Madison by an unknown gold- or silver-colored Buick Park Avenue with a maroon-colored rear passenger door, a police press release said.

After striking the pedestrian, the vehicle continued west on Madison Street and then turned right (north) on Central Park Avenue, the release said.
