All Homewood firefighters will wear green baseball-style hats this month and every March in the future in honor of Brian Carey. He died trying to save someone's life while battling a fire on March 30, 2010.
The hats will be worn by all department staff members whenever they are on duty during the month of March.
This May, the department's training facility will be renamed in Carey's honor.
