The Chicago Police Department's Cold Case Squad says detectives have solved a fatal shooting from 2009.

Terrance Tucker, 18, is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a 19-year-old man in the 68-00block of South Artesian on December 20, 2009. Police say Tucker and his victim were in a verbal fight when Tucker pulled a handgun.

The case went unsolved until the CPD's Cold Case Unit revisited the case and gathered leads linking Tucker to the crime. He was arrested on March 16.

Tucker is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court next on April 6.
