A new analysis shows the broad-based nature of Rahm Emanuel's victory.

The study by the Chicago Sun-Times concludes that in last month's mayoral election Emanuel won almost four out of every five precincts.

In addition, nearly every majority African-American precinct went for Emanuel.

Second place finisher Gery Chico took 411 precincts and did especially well in Mexican-American areas.

Miguel del Valle won 52 precincts while Carol Moseley Braun took only one precinct in the city, according to the analysis.
