United: Flight diverted to due to unruly passengers

United Airlines says a flight from Washington, DC to Portland, Oregon was diverted to Chicago Tuesday night because of security concerns involving passengers.

Two or three people reportedly were not following crew members' instructions. ABC7 is told passengers were taken off the plane and rescreened. They were not on board when the diverted flight left Chicago for Portland.

An airline spokesperson could not say whether they were detained or prohibited from boarding the plane.
