There may soon be an alternative to Botox when battling facial wrinkles.

A procedure called cryo-neuro-modulation has been in clinical trials which are being presented Friday at the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery in Texas.

Unlike Botox, which is an injectable form of Butulinim Toxin Type A, the new procedure simply uses a needle to deliver pinpoint extreme cold effectively freezing facial nerves.

Researchers, who are seeking FDA approval, say the affect lasts roughly as long as a Botox treatment would about three to four months.
