Two Chicago art dealers face federal fraud charges in connection with counterfeit fine art.

The charges stem from a March 2008 investigation that led to charges against seven seven people from Illinois, Florida, New York, and Europe. They are accused of producing and selling $5 million worth of fake prints.

Alan Kass, the owner and operator of Kass/Meridian Gallery in River North, and Sawyer Cade of Chicago face federal charges, along with John Panos of New York. They will be arraigned at a later date in federal court.
