More than 4,000 people gathered Saturday morning near Soldier Field for a run to remember Chicago police officers and firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

This is the seventh year for the run organized by the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. Several officers and firefighters have been killed over the last year, and foundation executive director Phil Cline remembered them and their families.

On Sunday, thousands of officers will take part in the St. Jude Memorial March to remember their fallen comrades.
