Riley Choate, 39, appeared in court Friday for allegedly failing to report the death of his son, whose body was found encased in concrete at a Gary, Ind., mobile home park.

The body of Christian Choate, 13, was found Wednesday. His father has not been charged with the boy's murder, but authorities say charges could be upgraded. An autopsy indicated Christian died of blunt force trauma.

Riley Choate was held on a $50,000 bail.
