Survey: Chicago has highest gas prices in nation

Prices have been falling at many gas stations around the country over the past few days, but a new survey finds the national average hit the $4 mark.

That's just 11 cents short of the all-time high in July of 2008.

The Lundberg Survey was taken Friday. Publisher Trilby Lundberg says the peak price may actually have come a couple of days earlier and then started falling. She believes we will see a drop of a dime or more a gallon before Memorial Day.

The Lundberg Survey finds Chicago with the highest price at $4.50 a gallon.
