Congressman Luis Gutierrez spoke at the City Club of Chicago Monday about his intention to help the soon-to-be-mayor any way he can. The congressman had criticized candidate Emanuel's performance regarding immigration reform during his time as President Obama's chief of staff.
"I assure you that on election night I already accepted that he was mayor of the city. I am ready and willing to serve," said Gutierrez.
Congressman Gutierrez also said he'd like to see the mayor-elect appoint more Latinos to leadership roles within his administration.
