A federal judge in California refuses to grant bail to a man accused of trying to barge into the cockpit of an American Airlines flight from Chicago to San Francisco.

The suspect Rageh Al-Murisi is a native of Yemen. He faces one count of interfering with the flight crew for allegedly trying to open the cockpit door twice on a Sunday night flight.

Al-Murisi's lawyer says he's not a terrorist. She says he's mentally unstable and needs treatment.
