Hazmat crews have cleared the scene of a butane pipeline leak in far southwest suburban Romeoville Sunday.

The leak temporarily shut down the intersection of 135th Street and Weber Road along with two gas stations.

Crews were flushing out storm sewers where liquid butane had collected to avoid a possible explosion.

No injuries and no environmental threats were reported.

There was no word on the cause of the leak.
