A north suburban man accused of bludgeoning his girlfriend's mother to death has been found mentally fit to stand trial.

A court psychologist expressed her opinion about Daniel Baker in a 17-page report.

The Deerfield native is charged with first-degree murder. He's accused of killing Marina Aksman with a bat in April of 2010.

Baker was dating the woman's daughter who has a mental disability.
