Investigators found the body of the boy's mother, Amy Fry-Pitzen in a Rockford hotel on May 15th after she had committed suicide. Timmothy Pitzen was last seen when his mother took him out of school more than a week ago.
Authorities discovered Timmothy Pitzen's car seat was not in his mother's car. Initially that lead them to believe his mother may have left the car seat with whomever she left her son. However, Aurora police announced this weekend that the boy's grandmother had taken the car seat a week earlier.
Anyone with information in the case is urged to call police.
