A 16-year-old boy is charged with murder and armed robbery after a police involved shooting that left another teen dead.

The shooting happened Wednesday night when two Chicago police sergeants responded to a robbery near 70th and Cregier.

Police say the officers ordered the suspects to stop.

They say one of them, Tatiun Williams, 15, pointed a gun at the officers. Police shot him.

Williams's mother, however claims her son was shot in the back. The second suspect was arrested, and that boy is scheduled to appear in bond court today on the new charges.
