McCartney may play 2 Wrigley shows

June 8, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Alderman Tom Tunney will introduce an ordinance Wednesday at a Chicago City Council meeting to hold two McCartney shows at Wrigley on July 31 and August 1. He's making the move before McCartney confirms because the council won't have enough time to pass the ordinance otherwise.

The Cubs have also blocked out space for the possible shows and are reportedly in negotiations with McCartney.

Wrigley Field has hosted several shows in recent years, including Jimmy Buffett, the Police, Dave Matthews Band, Rascal Flatts and Elton John and Billy Joel.
