Twenty-five-year-old Reema Bajaj has pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor and one felony count.
Police say that while investigating another case they found evidence that linked Bajaj to an act of prostitution that took place last August. It happened before she was admitted to the bar.
In a statement on her website, Bajaj says, "I am probably one of the few attorneys who knows what it feels like to be accused and in need of help. This action will only make me stronger and better able to understand what my clients are going through."
She is free on bail after posting a $500 cash bond.
