A celebration took place at the new Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Saturday night.
Officials say it includes some of the newest trends in healthcare design. For example, all 259 rooms are identical. Officials say standardizing them reduces the possibility of error.
The hospital is part of an interconnected campus that includes a large outpatient facility and a new medical office building. Elmhurst Memorial will open June 25.
