According to the university's website, the incident happened in the 1100 block of West Taylor.
The student was awakened by an intruder shining a flashlight in his face. The suspect made off with an electronic game system, an ATM card and the victim's identification. The intruder also demanded the student's PIN, which he gave the suspect. The student was not hurt.
Chicago police are working with campus police to investigate the case.
