Sleepy teens can also mean hungry teens

Those tired high schoolers usually head straight to one food group, carbohydrates, according to a new study. And that can have serious complications.

The Associated Professional Sleep Societies finds those sleep-deprived teens are eating high carb foods, such as french fries, pizza and chips, and are doing more than just adding to their waistline.

The consequences include obesity and diabetes, and researchers say, for adolescents suffering from depression they may be at an even greater risk.
